One-to-one Therapy
Find safety in opening up and sharing with someone who will not judge, will support you in learning more about yourself and teach you skills to make meaningful change in your life.
Personalised intervention
The same story from 2 different people requires 2 different types of treatment.
Safe and confidential space
Discussed in session, each situation is unique, careful planning around information sharing, liaison with supportive friends and family or health services.
Skill development
Maybe you have heard all about mindfulness but can’t make it work for you – we can practice and learn new skills that work for you.
Reflection and Change
By spending time diving into the deeper parts of your thinking and behaviour, we can reflect and make change.
Online Therapy
More convenient for some with the same benefits of one-to-one in person therapy.
Convenient
Set up in a private, confidential space at your own leisure, no travel costs or parking dramas.
Comfort and privacy
Maybe the idea of actually turning up to a therapy room space is daunting? Maybe try online in the comfort of your own home first layered in blankets or bring your mug of tea.
Accessibility
Physical or sensory challenges can be illiminated by using online therapy, particularly if new places and faces are overwhelming for you.
Continuity of care
Manage distruptions, illness and travel challenges easier. Especially if you can’t travel to where I am based.
Walk and Talk Therapy
Some people are always in fight/flight. Moving while talking can support the body to move through feelings rather than get stuck. Having a focus outside of 4 walls can enable wider thinking.
Movement Supports Thinking
If you find yourself constantly in ‘survival’ mode, walking can regulate and create space to think more clearly.
Connect with nature
Maybe time is precious but so is therapy? Move outside in a green space to get the benefits of nature’s own support while processing and thinking about what might be holding you back.
Creative approach
Research suggests that movement and space outside can increase creativity, moving away from fixed and rigid thinking.
Body awareness
Improving mind and body connection, experimenting with how the body feels when in action not just sitting down reflecting.
How Do I Know if Therapy is Right for Me?
Have a listen to some of my thoughts around therapy here with Meridian Wellbeing. As an associate therapist with the team, I discussed some ideas around thearpy and what people might be worried about in this podcast:

Therapy may not feel like the right fit for everyone—and that’s okay. Often, the only way to know is to take the first step and try it. Many people find that, just as starting in a gym or with a personal trainer can feel daunting at first, once you begin, the space becomes familiar, comfortable, and supportive. Over time, you build trust, confidence, and new skills—whether in exercise or in therapy—that help you navigate challenges more effectively.
